Do you need to tow a trailer?

Whether you need to tow a camper or a small trailer, Longhorn Rentals has a truck that
will fit your needs.

All of our trucks are late model year and are serviced regularly to ensure that they are kept in perfect working order. Longhorn Rentals carries a wide variety of trucks, from 1/2 ton to 1 ton trucks with gooseneck capabilities. Most of our trucks are equipped with electric brake controllers and all three of the most common electric plugs. We have the largest variety of trucks with towing capabilities in the Austin area.

Are you towing a small trailer?

Longhorn Rentals suggests that you rent a 1/2 ton pick up truck to tow a small trailer. All of our 1/2 ton pick up trucks are equipped with a bumper pull hitch and a 2 inch ball. The 1/2 ton pick up truck has a towing capacity of 3500 lbs. All of our 1/2 ton pick up trucks are equipped with a 4-way flat electrical plug.

Need extra cab space? Longhorn Rentals also carries extended cab and 4- Door ½ ton pick up trucks with the same capabilities.

Are you towing a larger trailer?

Longhorn Rentals suggests that you rent a 3/4 ton pick up truck to tow a large trailer. All of our 3/4 ton pick up trucks are equipped with a receiver hitch with a 2 or 2 5/16 inch ball. The 3/4 ton pick up truck has a towing capacity of 12000lbs. All of our 3/4 ton pick up trucks are equipped with electric brake controller and all three of the most common electrical plugs (7- way RV, 6- way round, and 4- way electrical plug).

Do you need a gooseneck or fifth wheel connection? Or do you need a larger truck?

Longhorn Rentals suggests you rent a 1 ton pick up truck. All of our 1 ton pick up trucks are equipped with a gooseneck or a fifth wheel hitch. With this hitch the 1 ton pick up truck has a towing capacity of 17500 lbs.

The 1 ton pick up truck is also equipped with a receiver hitch with a 2 or 2 5/16 inch ball. With the receiver hitch the 1 ton pick up has a towing capacity of 14500 lbs. All of our 1 ton pick up trucks are equipped with electric brake controller and all three of the most common electrical plugs (7- way RV, 6- way round, and 4- way electrical plug).
